Where is your photography studio located?
Michelle’s cosy home studio is based in Llanishen, Cardiff, offering a calm and relaxed setting for your photography session.
What types of photography sessions do you offer?
Michelle specialises in maternity, newborn, baby milestone (sitter), first birthday cake smash, family, and women’s empowerment sessions.
How do I book a session?

What is included in the session fee?
Each session includes a set duration of photography, an in-person viewing appointment to choose your images, and a set number of beautifully edited digital images to download. Additional images, wall art, and print options are available.
Newborn Photography FAQs
When is the best time to book a newborn session?
The ideal time for newborn photography is within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are typically sleepiest and most settled.
How long does a newborn session last?
Newborn sessions usually take around 2 hours, allowing time for feeding, cuddles, and gentle settling so we can capture those special moments calmly.
Do you provide props and outfits?

Yes, all blankets, wraps, outfits, and accessories are provided. You just need to bring yourselves and your baby.

First Birthday/Cake Smash Photography FAQs
When should I book a cake smash session?
​
Cake smash sessions are perfect for celebrating your baby’s first birthday, we recommend booking for around 11–12 months old so you can have the photos ready for their birthday.
What’s included in a cake smash session
​
The session includes birthday portraits, a fun-filled cake smash, and a lovely bubble bath to clean up while capturing more playful moments.

Do I need to bring the cake or outfits?
​
Michelle provides all props and outfits. You're welcome to bring your own cake, or she can recommend local cake makers, just ask during booking.
Milestone/Sitter Photography FAQs
What is a sitter session?

Sitter sessions capture your baby’s big personality once they’re able to sit unaided, usually around 6–9 months of age.
What is a milestone session?
​
A baby milestone session is designed to celebrate and capture the key stages of your little one’s first year, from those first smiles to sitting up on their own, crawling, or standing with support.

Do you provide props and outfits?
​
Yes, there’s a selection of carefully chosen outfits available, but you can also bring your favourites to personalise the session.

When should I book my maternity photography session?
​
Maternity sessions are best held between 30 and 36 weeks when your bump is beautifully round but you still feel comfortable.
Can I include my partner or children in the photos?

Absolutely, including partners or older siblings adds a special connection to your maternity images.

Can I choose an outdoor location instead of studio shots?
​
Yes! While many clients love the comfort and privacy of my cosy home studio in Llanishen, outdoor maternity sessions are a beautiful option too. Parks, beaches, or any location special to you can provide a stunning natural backdrop for your photographs.

Where do family sessions take place?

Family photography can be done in Michelle’s home studio in Cardiff, at your home, or outdoors, such as your favourite park or the beach.
How many people can take part in a family shoot?

For families of more than four, we recommend outdoor sessions due to studio space limitations, it also allows for more relaxed and dynamic group shots.

Is family photography suitable for children of all ages?
​
Yes, from tiny toddlers to teenagers (and even grown-up children!), these sessions are designed to celebrate your family just as you are, at every stage and age. Perfect for celebrating big family milestones or birthdays.
